Independent Audio aims to provide independent, useful comparisons of drum libraries. Scores and recommendations are based on hands-on testing where possible, combined with publicly available specifications and user feedback.
We do not accept paid placements or “pay-to-rank” arrangements. If a product is listed on this website, it’s because we believe it’s relevant for comparison—not because a developer paid for it.
Our reviews and scores can be based on: (1) hands-on testing, (2) official specs and documentation, and (3) user feedback from public sources. When hands-on testing is not available, we use specs and user feedback as proxies and reflect that in the confidence level.
Audio quality, workflow and realism are partly subjective. Our scoring system is designed to help you compare products, but it is not a guarantee of suitability for your specific setup, genre, or production style.
